Dauvit Alexander

Dauvit is a jeweller and activist, based in Birmingham. He uses craft as a tool for activism and has worked with IKON Youth Project, local schools, Craftspace, National Saturday Club and other young people in the UK, US and Europe. His own practice, both as a maker and curator, takes this thinking into the gallery space. His current touring exhibition, “Swords into Ploughshares” considers how ‘craftivism’ can help young people come to terms with knife crime.
