Paul Peter Piech

Paul was a Brooklyn born Ukrainian American printmaker. He had a long and varied career but is most famous for his linocut protest posters. Piech’s posters were visually striking and their message immediately clear and profound. Whether he was supporting Palestine, lambasting racism, apartheid, prison systems or politicians it was all too clear that he was passionate about trying to give voice to the voiceless and show the harsh human realities behind political systems and policies.
Paul Peter Piech spent the last 10 years of his life in Porthcawl South Wales, an
the area where the author of this piece grew up, he was 5 when he died and hates that he never got to meet him.
