Heather Savage

Heather is an Illustrator, Director, Curator, and Educator based in London. Her practice is rooted in Queer cultural archives, researching at the Bishopsgate Institute and MayDay Rooms; she approaches Illustration as critical education and live event.
She facilitates mask-making workshops for queer youth and teaches MA Illustration workshops grounded in collaborative, anti-perfectionist, anti-fascist methods. Her work critiques normative white Western visual culture while embracing camp, DIY, messy making. Through collaboration, she develops participatory, interdisciplinary exhibitions and community-led storytelling events.
